About Us

History

Formed to administer the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program, the Westside Coalition was organized under the San Joaquin Valley Drainage Authority, a California joint powers authority. Governance, budgeting and administration are implemented through an activity agreement between the Authority and public agency participants within the boundaries of the Drainage Authority, all under the general supervision of the Board of Directors.

Under the State’s Irrigated Land’s Regulatory Program Waste Discharge Requirements General Order for Growers Within the Western San Joaquin River Watershed were adopted January 9th, 2014 by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.
